the things we do for fun (part one)

One of my favorite faces to slather in powders and creams. Tyla has gorgous eyes, amazing cheek bones, perfect lips and the best eye brows this side of the pacific. She is doubly awesome and good company to keep.Callie and I also finally met her boyfriend Bailey! He was a good sport for putting up with a 12 hour shoot (it’s a long story).

I love the way it all turned out.

Tash, this homie of mine here in Australia, is about to unleash an all new rad funky and raw magazine. It will be like no other this side of the pacific. In June of this year I had the pleasure of doing makeup for the first fashion shoot, for the first mag, for the first time. Her motto is “100% anorexic and stiletto free” and she plans on sticking to it. Although I love stilettos, I get where she is coming from and I like it.

PS. All the photos I put up are just working photos. None are edited and they aren’t  likely going to be used for the purpose of the shoot (like most my post). So don’t think “damn those are dodgy pictures ya got there”. The pictures I choose for the makeup, or because they are interesting in some other way. These are from 3 different days and are from multiple photographers. When the mag comes out I will post the final products.

Fish n’ chicks

Callie had an idea to do a shoot based on texture. She bought this velvety green material, some fish eggs and scored a frozen fish from a fisherman friend. Along with an amazingly beautiful model Emma we had a blast. The material didn’t photograph like Callie wanted but isn’t that always the case. We did this shoot at The Fort sometime in May. Irena also helped in directing the fish..:)

Half these pictures I took so, don’t judge Callie on them.
